Family Day is Monday February 15th. Loyalist Township Recreation Services will share ideas for family fun the week leading up to the 15th but will be silent on the day itself to encourage the community to spend time with their households.

Secondary Plan Kickoff Meeting
In September 2020, the Township put out a Request for Proposals (RFP) to develop the Amherstview West Secondary Plan. At the January 11th Loyalist Township Council meeting, Loyalist Township Mayor Ric Bresee announced that Council had accepted a gift of a waterfront property on Amherst Island.

December 12,2020 (Odessa, Ontario) – Loyalist Township has been notified that a Township staff member who works aboard the Amherst Island Ferry has tested positive for COVID-19. We have reviewed this employee’s work schedule and with this information, we can confidently say that the employee has not worked a shift since the exposure. The Township has chosen to advise the public out of an abundance of caution.

A Township-wide Service Delivery Review was recently completed and presented at the Committee of the Whole meeting on November 2, 2020.
