Sewage Treatment Plant Annual Report

Under Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) agreements issued by the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), Loyalist Township is required to report annually on the values/parameters indicated in the ECAs for both operated facilities in Amherstview and Bath.

The report covers the period of January 1st to December 31st, 2020 and is prepared and submitted to the MECP by March 31st and to Council.

Township Not Proceeding with Summer Day Camps

Given the rapid increase in COVID-19 transmission along with the risks posed to the public by COVID-19 variants, Loyalist Township has made the difficult decision to not proceed with traditional Summer Day Camp programs for the Summer of 2021. This is the second consecutive season that Loyalist Township has been unable to offer traditional summer programs because of the pandemic.

Creighton and South Street Survey Work

Loyalist Township has started preliminary survey work for future infrastructure projects in the area of County Road 2, Creighton and Potter Drive in Odessa with some work on South Street. Provincial Emergency Brake Shutdown Begins April 3

On Thursday, April 1st, 2021 the Ontario government imposed a province-wide shutdown that will come into effect at 12:01am on Saturday, April 3rd. At this time, the KFL&A public health region will be under shutdown for at least four weeks. The provincewide emergency brake will put in place time-limited public health and workplace safety measures to help to stop the rapid transmission of COVID-19 variants in communities, protect hospital capacity and save lives.
