Chesterfield Baker Tareyton
In 2021, infrastructure upgrades were undertaken on Chesterfield Drive, Tareyton Road, and Bakers Lane. The work included full replacement of sanitary sewers, watermains and associated structures, and road works including road base improvements and a new asphalt surface. Existing ditches were cleaned out, reinstating proper ditching on each side of the road, and driveway culverts replaced.

Past Project Updates:
October 28, 2022 - A letter was hand-delivered addressing residents concerns.
October 6, 2022 - A letter was hand-delivered to residents in the project area. Staff will be in contact with residents again in early November to discuss individual resident concerns, in preparation for the subsequent staff report that will be presented to the new Council.
August 23, 2022 - Township staff held a Public Information Centre at the Amherstview Community Hall to hear resident concerns regarding the project restoration undertaken to date. Following that, a staff report was received by Council at their regular session on September 12, 2022. Subsequently, Loyalist Township Council passed Resolution 2022.71.16:
"Moved by Councillor Gordon and Seconded by Councillor Townend that the report from the Engineering and Environment Division, September 12, 2022 re: Chesterfield-Bakers-Tareyton Restoration Update, be received; and
That Council direct staff to report back to Council after new Council inauguration to propose funding plan and obtain approval to move forward with replacing seeded areas with sod for any resident who requests it and reimburse those residents who have paid to put down sod on their own; and further, that the Township repair any cosmetic tire marks on the new pavement caused by issues beyond our control and that such cost be taken from budget; and that the Township still hold the contractors for outstanding deficiencies."
July 2021 - The work began in late July 2021 and the contractor continued until winter shutdown.
April 2022 - Township staff conducted a walk-through of the project site with the contractor to identify outstanding work.
