The Province of Ontario announced Step One of its Roadmap to Reopen will begin on Friday, June 11. As part of Step One, the initial focus is on resuming outdoor activities with smaller crowds where the risk of transmission is lower.

Outdoor Gatherings Up to 10 People

Outdoor recreation amenities in Loyalist Township remain open for non-organized, leisure use. Effective Friday, June 11, up to 10 people will be allowed to gather outdoors, including those not from your household. This can include for outdoor sports training (no games or practices), outdoor fitness classes, and outdoor group or personal training. Everyone who uses outdoor recreational amenities is required to maintain a physical distance of no less than 2-metres (excluding members of the same household).

Odessa Administration Office Reopens

As a result of the move to Step One, Loyalist Township will reopen the administration office to public access effective Monday, June 14, 2021 at 8:15 am. COVID protocols will be in place based on public health guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.The Township continues to offer service via email, phone or website. Residents are encouraged to use these channels whenever possible.

The Loyalist Township office at 18 Manitou Crescent West in Amherstview remains open by appointment only.  All other Township buildings remain closed at this time.

Curbside Pickup is Available at the WJ Henderson Recreation Centre

On Monday, June 7th, Loyalist Township began offering select municipal services via curbside pickup at the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre (322 Amherst Drive, Amherstview, ON). More information on Curbside pickup can be found in the news release.
