Mayor Jim Hegadorn Receiving the Mayoral Chain

The newly elected Loyalist Township Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Council took their Oath of Office at the inaugural council meeting held November 15, 2022, at 6:00 P.M.

Justice Geoffrey Griffin administered the Council’s Oath of Office. The Loyalist Township the 2022-2026 Council is now official.

Loyalist Township is proud to welcome Mayor Jim Hegadorn, Deputy Mayor Nathan Townend, Ward One Councillor Lorna Willis, Ward Two Councillor Carol Parks, Ward Three Councillors Mike Budarick, Jake Ennis, Paul Proderick.

During the inaugural council meeting Mayor Hegadorn was forward thinking with his opening remarks in council chambers.

"With the election behind us, the voters have spoken and empowered this council to make decisions for Loyalist’s future. This also brings the responsibility to be the most engaged and pragmatic Council we have ever been. This is a critical period for Loyalist Township, which Council will embrace. We will use our diverse backgrounds, education and experiences which will cumulatively benefit the decisions and direction of the township."
