Fare increase effective May 1, 2025

Increase to ferry fares

As part of the Township's 2025 Fees and Charges By-law, Council has approved an increase to ferry fares, which will take effect on May 1, 2025. The fare increase will be rolled out during a transition period from May 1 to June 2, 2025.

Transition period for existing bulk tickets

Please note that the transition period only applies to the bulk tickets. All other fare categories will increase effective May 1, 2025.

May 1, 2025

New bulk ticket packages (white tickets) will be available for purchase effective May 1, 2025. To help transition to the new fare structure, salmon-coloured tickets purchased before May 1, 2025, will continue to be accepted until June 2, 2025, following which a fare difference will apply.

June 2, 2025

Effective June 2, 2025, passengers will be required to use white tickets or pay a fare difference of $0.20 when redeeming salmon-coloured tickets. When paying the fare difference, electronic payment is preferred where possible. As of June 2, 2025, no other coloured tickets except salmon and white will be accepted.
