Loyalist Township has been advised by the Ministry of Transportation that the new ferry terminals at Millhaven and Stella may be opened to the public. With this approval Loyalist can open the terminals for public use on Mon, Feb 28, providing new passenger & staff facilities including restrooms, waiting areas and offices.

Community Building Fund Helps Township Upgrade Recreation Facilities

Loyalist Township Mayor Ric Bresee announced that the municipality is receiving a $243,100 grant from the Government of Ontario’s Community Building Fund – Capital stream. The Community Building Fund – Capital stream provides support for non-profits, Indigenous communities and municipalities in the community sport and recreation sectors, helping them recover from the impacts of COVID-19. Loyalist Set to Receive Funding to Help Modernize Services

The Ontario Government has announced new funding being delivered through the Municipal Modernization Program, to support small and rural municipalities in delivering services for locals and businesses in more efficient manners.  

The Municipal Modernization Program is providing over $28 million to help 322 small and rural municipalities to aid in their innovation and modernization projects.

To protect the Bay of Quinte and eastern Lake Ontario, the Ontario Government is investing $1,698,792 million across three communities in Hastings-Lennox and Addington to build, upgrade and rehabilitate storm and wastewater infrastructure.
