Electronic Waste, Battery, Textile & Food Drive Coming to Amherstview

Loyalist Township is hosting another electronic waste and household battery recycling drive to encourage the responsible disposal of electronic waste and protect the environment. The event will occur at the Amherstview Fire Station, 363 Amherst Drive, on Saturday, October 18, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Community partners will once again join forces to collect gently used textiles and non-perishable food items, in partnership with the Loyalist Community Sharing Centre and the Amherstview Lions Club.

Electronic waste (e-waste) is an increasing category of waste worldwide, containing materials that may be hazardous to the environment and human health if not properly managed. This community drive provides residents with an option to dispose of their electronic waste and household batteries in a safe and responsible manner.
