Loyalist Township Welcoming Three New Family Doctors

Loyalist Township is pleased to announce the arrival of three new family physicians as part of its ongoing physician recruitment efforts.

In 2023, Loyalist Township Council approved the creation of a Family Physician Recruitment Incentive Program to improve access to primary care for residents and strengthen local health services. Between 2023 and 2025, Loyalist Township successfully recruited three family physicians. Now, with three new physicians establishing a practice this year, as many as 7,200 residents would have access to a primary care provider since the program was created.

People who do not currently have a primary care provider are encouraged to register with Health Care Connect, a program that helps connect patients with family doctors accepting new patients. The new physicians are required to give priority to Loyalist residents.

It is expected that all three family physicians will have their practices established between now and March 2026.

In addition to these three new family doctors, another family doctor will be assuming a role with the Loyalist Family Health Team for a retiring doctor.
