Notice of Culvert Replacement, McConnel Road

Loyalist Township Public Works will be replacing two cross culverts on Tuesday, November 4th. Work will take place between Civic #3124 and the intersection of McConnel Rd and County Road 20. Due to the location of the work zone and the limited road platform there will be a full closure in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with no access through the work zone. Access to McConnel Rd will only be available via Yarker Rd (South Frontenac Township). 

The work will consist of culvert removal/replacement and shoulder widening.

Please note that in the event of inclement weather, the work will take place on Wednesday, November 5th.

The road closure will have an impact on school buses that travel on the south end of McConnel Rd. Loyalist Township has been in contact with Tri-Board Transportation and distributed a letter with alternative instructions for the day of construction to all parents whose children’s bus pickup and drop off will be affected (buses #160 and #747).
