Notice: Passing of Amending Development Charges By-law

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of Loyalist passed an amending Development Charges By-law No. 2026-17 on the 14^th day of April 2026, under Section 2 of the Development Charges Act, 1997 (the Act).

AND TAKE NOTICE that the by-law is not appealable to the Ontario Land tribunal based on Section 19 (1.1) of the Act. The schedule of development charges in the Township is not changed by the amending by-laws.

The amending by-law provides for changes to the existing By-law 2021-066 to reflect an expiry date of January 2, 2032, unless it is extended by statute, regulation or By-law, or repealed at an earlier date.

The Township’s current development charges schedule remains in effect and can be found on the Township’s plans and studies webpage.

No key map is provided as the amending by-law applies to all lands located in the Township of Loyalist. Copies of the Township’s Development Charges By-laws are available for examination by appointment in the offices of the municipality located at 263 Main Street Odessa, Ontario, and on the Township’s website.
