Partial Burn Ban in Effect

Effective at 12:00am on August 7, 2025, a partial burn ban is being implemented across Loyalist Township. 

What is prohibited?

• Brush fires
• Agriculture fires
• Other open-air fires that require a permit

What is permitted?

• Campfires (must meet Loyalist Township By-law 2021-070) attach link to by-law
• Fire in an Outdoor Fireplace (must meet Loyalist Township By-law 2021-070)
• Fires in a cooking device (must meet Loyalist Township By-law 2021-070)

This partial burn ban has been implemented due to the dry conditions and increased wildfire risk in our community and will remain in effect until further notice. 

Please use caution when setting any fire and thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe.
