Partial Burn Ban in Effect for Loyalist Township

Due to the recent precipitation and cooler temperatures, the fire rating in Loyalist Township has been downgraded and will be reducing the Total Burn Ban to a Partial Burn Ban.

Effective at 6:00pm on August 29, 2025 a partial burn ban is being implemented across Loyalist Township. 

What is prohibited?

• Brush fires
• Agriculture fires
• Other open-air fires that require a permit
• Fireworks

What is permitted?

• Campfires (must meet Loyalist Township By-law 2021-070)
• Fire in an Outdoor Fireplace (must meet Loyalist Township By-law 2021-070)
• Fires in a cooking device (must meet Loyalist Township By-law 2021-070)

This partial burn ban has been implemented due to the current fire conditions and increased wildfire risk in our community and will remain in effect until further notice.
