Public Open House #1 - Church St Development

The Township is holding a Public Open House to obtain feedback on a potential development concept prior to preparing the associated Planning Act applications.

As part of the Township’s Housing Accelerator (HAF) Action Plan, the Township has committed to undertaking initiatives that plan for the use of vacant or underutilized Township-owned lands for housing or housing-supportive uses. As a result, the Township is currently exploring the redevelopment of Township-owned lands to support a range of new housing options in the Township. One such Township owned property is on Church Street in Bath and is located immediately north of Bath Public School, south of the proposed Loyalist Estates Mixed Use Development (Enclave), east of Abbey Dawn Drive and on the west side of County Road 7. A key map is located below.

The Church Street development project, in partnership with the County of Lennox & Addington and Habitat for Humanity, is focused on creating affordable rental and ownership housing, while also considering opportunities for potential mixed-use development. Loyalist Township is working with community partners and consultants to study zoning (i.e. land use), servicing (water, sewer, roads), and design options (housing form) for the site.

Public input is an important part of this process and will help inform how the land is developed to meet local housing needs while fitting into the surrounding neighbourhood. Public consultation as prescribed under the Ontario Planning Act will be undertaken for future Draft Plan of Subdivision, Zoning By-law Amendment and Official Plan Amendment applications. The Township is currently holding a Public Open House to obtain feedback on a potential development concept prior to preparing the associated Planning Act applications.

You are invited to attend the Public Open House for the project.

When: Thursday, June 4, 2026 – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (Presentation will be given at 6:30 pm)

Where: Bath Public School

247 Church Street, Bath

At the Public Open House, Township staff, the County of Lennox and Addington and representatives from the consultant team will be available to answer questions and obtain comments.

Your input is important to the development of this property.
