Violet Recycling Depot – Opening January 6

Loyalist Township is announcing the launch of recycling depot services at Violet  Landfill, beginning Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

This service change responds to the loss of access to recycling drop-off services previously available at the Kingston Area Recycling Centre (KARC). The change is due to updates to provincial recycling regulations and the absence of long-term funding through Circular Materials.

Hours of Operation:

• Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

1346 Violet Rd, Odessa, ON K0H 2H0

Important Information

• Available to Loyalist Township residents only
• Intended for bulk recycling items
• No ICI (Industrial, Commercial, or Institutional) recycling accepted
•  All visitors must check in at the scale house upon arrival
• Valid identification required
