  • Electronic Waste, Battery, Textile & Food Drive Coming to Amherstview

    Loyalist Township is hosting an electronic waste and household battery recycling drive to encourage the responsible disposal of electronic waste and protect the environment.

  • Violet Landfill Update

    Beginning Tuesday, October 7 through October 21, the Township will be moving forward with landfill shaping work at Violet Landfill as part of the requirements under our Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) for the site. The cooler, drier fall weather provides the best window to complete this work with minimal impact to local residents.

  • Notice of Public Meeting - Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-Law Amendment Applications

    Loyalist Township has scheduled a hybrid Public Meeting on October 28, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. or shortly thereafter to consider amendments to the comprehensive Zoning By-law 2001-38, as amended and the Township Official Plan in accordance with the provisions of Sections 34(12) and 17(15) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.

  • Notice of Construction: County Road 4

    Loyalist Township will be replacing a cross-culvert along County Road 4, just north of Simmons Road, on October 8, 2025. 

  • Additional Residential Unit Education Session

    Join us on October 22, 2025 for an education session regarding incentives available to homeowners who are interested in constructing a new residential rental unit on their property.

  • Brandon Road Construction

    Brandon Road (Menore Bridge) will reopen to local traffic on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 5 p.m. The bridge is now ready to accommodate vehicles, with only a few outstanding items left to be completed the week of October 6, 2025.

    Temporary traffic control measures will remain in place until the guiderail installation is completed, and local traffic should expect delays next week as the contractor and their subcontractors finish the remaining work.

  • Canada Post Strike

    The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has launched a national strike effective September 25, 2025. During the national strike, Loyalist Township encourages residents to consider alternative methods for accessing and submitting essential services, such as property tax, utility, and court-related payments. The Township remains dedicated to ensuring continuity of services for residents, despite possible mail delays.

  • Culture Days Event Road Closure

    Please be advised that a temporary road closure will take place within the village of Bath on Saturday, September 20, 2025, between 10 a.m. and approximately 3 p.m. for the Loyalist Township Culture Days community event.
