Site Plan Control

Site plan control is used to ensure a proposed development is appropriately planned, safe and functional. It also ensures development meets the requirements of Municipal By-laws such as the Zoning By-law.

The Township uses site plan control to review various components of proposed developments, such as but not limited to:

  • Building Location;
  • Vehicle ingress and egress;
  • Parking;
  • Vehicle Flow;
  • Stormwater Management;
  • Servicing; and
  • Compatibility with neighbouring properties.

The Township Official Plan designates the entire Township as being a site plan control area. The Township Site Plan Control by-law as amended, further designates what uses and areas are subject to site plan control. The relevant by-laws can be found below:
