Loyalist Firefighters recieving cheque from firehouse subs

Loyalist Township Fire Services members are now better equipped to handle emergencies and keep the local community of Loyalist Township safe thanks to a grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada. The Foundation recognized our critical need and awarded us $30219 to purchase a utility terrain vehicle (UTV).

“We are extremely grateful to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada and our local Firehouse Subs in Kingston for providing us with this grant and positively impacting our community,” said Director of Emergency Services & Fire Chief Fred Stephenson. “We are so grateful to be given the tools needed to continue to keep the citizens of Loyalist Township safe and protected.”

The UTV will be used to access, respond to, and suppress land fire emergencies in difficult terrain, helping to keep our community safe.

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has awarded 306 grants to public safety organizations since 2015. This grant is one of 22 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada awarded to public safety organizations during the most recent grant cycle. The 22 grants will provide critical lifesaving equipment valued at more than $518,000 across Ontario.
