Edgewood Road Municipal Drain |
After installing new watermains on Edgewood Road and Compton Court in 2019, the Township in partnership with MTO is installing new storm sewers on Edgewood Road in 2020. The storm sewer begins on the north side of Highway 33 (Bath Road), crosses to the south side, then follows the length of Edgewood Road and crosses Township lands to discharge into Lake Ontario. Ditch inlets convey the water from the ditches beside Edgewood Road into the storm sewer, as it approaches the outlet at Lake Ontario. The storm sewer is designed with capacity to convey flows resulting from a 100-year design storm. The project has been awarded to R.W. Tomlinson Ltd. The construction began July 27, 2020 and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2020. Residents who have questions or concerns can contact Curtis Ottenhof, Project Manager for R.W. Tomlinson, at 613-453-8783; or Joe Gratton, Project Supervisor for Loyalist Township, at 613-386-7351, ext. 172. |
Briscoe Park Rehabilitation |
Briscoe Park is located at the end of Sir John Johnson Drive, in the Village of Bath. Public consultation was completed in 2018 and the final design includes improved accessibility, safety upgrades, new playground equipment, new trees, and drainage improvements. Upgrades to the park was one of the Recreation projects planned for construction in 2019. Funding for this project is in the approved 2019 capital budget and includes contributions fundraised by the Bath & District Lions Club.
