Recruitment for public members for the Township’s Heritage Committee, the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre Renewal Fundraising Committee, and the Community Grant Committee is now OPEN.

The mandate of the Heritage Committee is to advise and assist council on matters relating to municipal heritage under the Ontario Heritage Act. The Committee also provides advise on local heritage matters and to assist Council in carrying out its heritage conservation programs.

The mandate of the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre Renewal Fundraising Committee is to raise money to fund the capital cost of the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre Renewal Project. The initial goal of the Committee is to raise $900,000.

The mandate of the Community Grant Committee is to review and evaluate applications received under the Renewable Energy Fund Grant Policy, consult with municipal departments on those applications that may have a direct or indirect impact on municipal services and/or budgets, and make recommendations to Council for approving grants.

To be eligible, applicants must be a resident, or owner/tenant of property or business in the Township; be at least 16 years of age; and must not be an employee of the Township. To remain an active member, appointees are required to maintain their eligibility and qualifications throughout their term.
