Notice to Residents – Upcoming Road Work in Amherstview

Loyalist Township has contracted GIP Paving Inc. to carry out road improvements on several streets in Amherstview. This includes milling (removing a layer of old asphalt) and repaving.

When the Work Will Happen:

Milling work is expected to begin on July 2, 2025, and finish by July 4, 2025. However, this schedule may change due to weather or unforeseen delays.

 

What This Means for You:

  • Driveway Access: There may be short periods when you can’t access your driveway. Crews on site will be available to assist you during these times.
  • Parking: No street parking will be allowed while work is underway. Please do not park on street ahead of these operations.
  • Traffic: Temporary lane closures may be required to facilitate work. Please drive slowly and carefully through the work areas (5 km/h).
  • Signage: Follow all posted signs and directions from traffic control personnel.

  • Kildare Ave - 20m West of the Intersection of Clifford St and Kildare to approximately Civic #80 Kildare Ave July 2nd-3rd, 2025
  • Kidd Drive - Intersection of Kildare Ave and Kidd Dr. to the Intersection of Green Dr. and Kidd Dr. July 3rd, 2025
  • Clifford Street - Intersection of Kildare Ave and Clifford St to the Intersection of McKeown St and Clifford Street July 3rd-4th, 2025

PLEASE NOTE above dates are tentative dates. Based on weather and production these dates could be subject change where GIP could start slightly sooner or later than the dates above.
