At this time, our region is experiencing the highest collective case count since the COVID-19 pandemic began.  KFL&A Public Health is asking everyone to act, in order to ease the burden on the local health care system. In response to this critical situation, Loyalist Township has made the difficult decision to cancel all Township-led recreation programs from December 14, 2021 to January 16, 2022.

Participants that have previously registered for cancelled programs will be notified by Township staff and will receive a credit placed on their account.

We understand that disruptions to programming throughout the pandemic have been challenging for our patrons.  Loyalist Township continues to prioritize the safety and well-being of our staff, patrons and community, while acting on the direction from our local Public Health agency.

This decision will only affect Township-led programs; Rentals booked by external organizations will continue to be permitted in accordance with current COVID operating protocols. When inside Township facilities patrons and staff are required to wear a face covering that covers your mouth, nose, and chin; stay 2 metres apart from people outside of your household; and screen for symptoms of COVID-19 prior to visiting.

This is an evolving situation; Loyalist Township continues to respond to updated public health guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We’d like to thank our patrons for their continued support, patience and cooperation throughout the pandemic.
