Property Standards

The Building Department is responsible for the enforcement of property standards related to buildings.

Purpose of the Property Standards By-law

• Describe standards for the maintenance and occupancy of property.
• Require property to be repaired and maintained in conformity with the prescribed standards
• Prohibit the occupany or use of property that does not conform to the standards. If you are concerned with the condition of your dwelling unit or with the appearance of property, please contact the Building Department.
