Refreshment Vehicles
You must have a license to operate a refreshment vehicle in Loyalist Township. This includes but is not limited to, Chip Trucks, Hot Dog and Ice Cream Carts. Applying for a License
Please send completed refreshment vehicle applications, and all necessary approvals to the Municipal Clerk. All applications are reviewed by the Clerks office and circulated to all necessary departments for consideration. If your application is approved, you will be notified by the Clerk’s office and upon full payment you will receive a refreshment vehicle license.
Applying for a Park Permit
If you are interested in operating your refreshment vehicle in a Loyalist Township Park, you will need to apply for a park permit, which can be found on Schedule C of by-law 2020-085. Applications for a park permit must be submitted no later than the last Friday in the month of November and must be submitted yearly. Applications are scored based on healthy food options, sustainability practices and locally sourced food.
Please Note: Applications for a park permit will be received until Friday, December 1, 2023.
