Potable Water Fill Station | Loyalist Township

Loyalist Township operates a potable water filling station at the Township Booster Station at 243 County Road 6. This potable water filling station provides potable water access and is intended for filling containers smaller than 4.5m3 (1000 gal.). The fill station is located at 243 County Road 6, at the same site used by bulk water haulers. Please exercise caution and follow posted signage when entering or exiting, as this is a shared access point.

The potable water fill station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. As bulk water haulers also use this location, it is recommended to use the filling station after hours or on weekends, avoiding the busiest times of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There is a minimum 250 litre charge for each payment.
The cost for each 250 litre fill is $1.05.
If you require more than 250 litre, simply tap your payment card again.
For amounts less than 250 litre, hit the stop button once your container is full to stop the flow of water. There are no reimbursements for partial fills.

Cash and Visa payments are not accepted. Please ensure you have a valid payment card with you when visiting the station.

The fill station is under 24/7 surveillance and is inspected daily by Utilities staff.

As this site is shared with bulk water haulers, we kindly ask residents to be aware of larger vehicle traffic. Please follow all posted traffic signs and remain alert while on-site.

Traffic volume is the highest during weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is recommended to avoid these hours when possible.

Equipment and Container Types

To use this station, you will need to bring your own container for filling and a 2-inch female camlock fitting hose. Please note that equipment is not provided.

Container Recommendations:

Water jugs or bottles
Portable refillable water totes or drums
Approved potable water transport containers with secure lids

*Loyalist Township is not responsible for the quality of water once it leaves the water filling station. All containers intended for drinking water use should be clean prior to filling to help maintain water quality standards.

Hose Required:

The connection required to use this fill station is a 2-inch female camlock fitting and we recommend a minimum 8-10 ft hose.

Filling instructions

Enter the potable water fill station off County Road 6. The entrance off County Road 6 is shared with Williams Auto, please be mindful of the traffic entering Williams Auto from the same entrance.

The fill station is shared with bulk water customers. In order to maintain access to the bulk fill station, the small fill station should be approached in a counter-clockwise direction.

Tap your payment card to purchase a 250 litre fill. Each subsequent tap will purchase an additional 250 litres.

Cash is not accepted. Please ensure you have a valid payment card with you when visiting the station.

Connect your 2 inch camlock female hose to the 2 inch male camlock hose connection. Please ensure you have the correctly sized female camlock coupler to connect your hose to the dispensing port.

When you have reached filling capacity for your container, push the stop button to stop the flow of water.
