Loyalist Link Transitioning to Demand Responsive Transit Service

Loyalist Link transit service is transitioning to Demand Responsive Transit, a service that allows riders to request public transportation when they need it. This new service model will give riders greater flexibility to request public transportation when they need it during designated service times.

Download the free Blaise Transit app from the App Store or Google Play on your smartphone.
Create an account or log in to your existing account.
Select Loyalist Link as your transit operator.
Book your trip for today, tomorrow or even next week! Your trip will be confirmed within 2 minutes.
Trip details are confirmed at least 30 minutes before the requested trip time. Follow the directions on the app to your pick-up stop.

Tips for booking:

Turn your location on, so that the Blaise App can find Loyalist Link as your transit provider.
Allow push notifications from the app; you will receive ride notifications including confirmation.
For payment method, Smart Card = Kingston Transit fare product (transit card or pass). The bus will NOT accept cash.
When your trip is confirmed it will provide you with your pick-up time. Trip details like specific pick-up and drop-off stops, and length of trip will be confirmed 30 minutes before the ride begins.
You can also "start your trip" in the app and view the vehicle's location in real time as it approaches you.
Trip details will say that payment method will be cash; this is an error that is being fixed. Payment for your ride will be your Kingston Transit card or pass.

By cancelling in a timely manner when travel plans change, riders help ensure the service remains available and dependable for the entire community. There are two types of transit stops: physical and virtual.

Physical stops have a transit stop sign. Virtual stops are not marked by a transit sign, but are easily identifiable locations, usually at an intersection or landmark.

Paying for your ride

Fare Information

The Loyalist Link is a cashless service. To ride the Loyalist Link passengers can purchase Kingston Transit passes. Any valid Kingston Transit pass can be used to ride the Loyalist Link. Visit the Kingston Transit webpage for more information.

Please be advised that the Kingston Affordable Transit Pass is only available to residents of Kingston.

Children 14 years and under can ride free of charge when they're with an adult paying the fare. If you are 14 and under and riding alone, remember to get your pass so you can travel.

Riders can use self-serve trip planning tools, such as Transit and Google Maps, to pick your starting point and destination, and have your journey planned for you.

Transit App

You will also be able to download Kingston Transit's official mobile application to plan your trip.

When using an electronic disposable or reloadable smart pass (e.g. a Multi-Ride pass), transfers are automatically calculated and provide 60 minutes of unlimited travel on any route except the route you boarded and obtained your transfer. Once your transfer is expired, you will need to pay a new fare.

Note: Transfers are only valid for use by the customer to whom it was issued.

Pilot program

Although the pilot wrapped up on December 31, 2025, funding for the transit program continues through September 2027, with plans to secure additional funding for future expansion.

The pilot program launched on November 4, 2024, and ended December 31, 2025 with aims to enhance transportation options for residents of additional communities in the Township including Bath, Odessa and the Amherst Island Ferry Terminal in Millhaven. The service provides a vital public transportation link to workplaces in the Taylor-Kidd Industrial Park and the Loyalist East Business Park and is provided by Loyalist Township under contract with Voyago.
