Total Fire Ban

Due to the continued hot and dry weather, a total fire ban will be put in place for all of Loyalist Township as of 12:00 a.m. on August 12, 2025. 

What is prohibited:

  • All open-air fires including brush fires, agriculture fires, campfires, fire in an outdoor fireplace, etc.
  • Fireworks

What is permitted:

  • Certified BBQ’s designed specifically for cooking.
  • Certified propane or gas fueled fire pits/rings/bowls/etc.  that have a mechanical shut-off to immediately stop the flow of the fuel.

Community BBQ

The Recreation and Facilities Division is excited to announce the return of the Community BBQ and Autumn Recreation Showcase!

Join us for a fun filled evening and discover a way to play by falling into autumn recreation opportunities.

The "Fall into Autumn Recreation!" Community BBQ is the perfect way to enjoy delicious food, connect with your community, and explore the wide variety of autumn recreation programs available for all ages. 
Whether you're interested in staying active, picking up a new hobby, or making social connections, our autumn recreation programs have something for everyone!
We look forward to seeing everyone there and sharing in the fun and excitement!

Event activities

  • Not so Amateur Amateurs bouncy castle, obstacle course and balloon artist
  • Come Out and Play Trailer with Large Yard Games
  • Art and Temporary Tattoos Station
  • Kids Indoor Obstacle Course  
  • Zumba class with Andrea from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
  • Gentle stretch class with Andrea from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
  • Mobile Ice cream Bar ($)
