Temporary Closure of Bulk Water and Small Fill Stations

Due to construction work at the booster station located at 243 County Road 6, the Bulk Water and Small Fill Stations are temporarily out of service. 

The closure began on June 9, 2026, and will remain in effect until further notice while construction is underway.

Temporary Changes to Route 10 Bus Stops

Due to construction on Sherwood Ave

Effective at start of day Tuesday, May 19 and continuing until further notice, Route 10 buses will detour away from Sherwood Avenue in Amherstview due to construction.

Temporary alternative stops will be posted for the duration of construction activity.

Register with Health Care Connect

Loyalist Township is pleased to announce the arrival of three new family physicians as part of its ongoing physician recruitment efforts.

People who do not currently have a primary care provider are encouraged to register with Health Care Connect, a program that helps connect patients with family doctors accepting new patients. The new physicians are required to give priority to Loyalist residents.

Community Hall Rental

The Amherstview Community Hall at 177 Upper Park Road, Amherstview, is available to rent for fundraisers, private parties, weddings, baby showers, and more.

Booking the hall

Please complete the Facility Rental Request Form if you are interested in booking a facility. For more information and facility availability, please contact Recreation and Facilities. When booking the hall, you must include the total time that is needed. This includes setting up, decorating and cleaning up after your event.

Maximum occupancy is 200 but 149 for events where alcohol is being served.

All Community Hall bookings are subject to insurance rates, which vary by age, group size and activity.

Current Amherstview Community Hall fees and be found in Schedule F (Recreation Services Division) of the Miscellaneous Fees and Charges Amended By-law.

For functions where alcohol will be served, you must provide a certificate of insurance with five million dollars liability coverage. The insurance certificate needs to name “The Corporation of Loyalist Township” as an additional insured. You also need to have a special occasion permit and proof of Smart Serve certification for anyone serving alcohol. Please refer to the Municipal Alcohol Policy for more information and contact the Clerk's Office.
