This partial burn ban has been implemented due to the current fire conditions and increased wildfire risk in our community and will remain in effect until further notice.

Arena Rental

Due to ongoing construction of the WJ Renewal Project, the arena floor will not be available to rent until Spring 2026. 

Loyalist Township offers arena ice and floor rentals at the W.J. Henderson Community Centre. The ice and floor surface is 200 ft x 85 ft and the facility includes seating for 1,000 people and a canteen.

The arena floor can normally be booked for ball hockey, lacrosse, special events and more. Visit our Skating Schedule page to see the latest public skating schedules.

Booking the arena ice/floor

Please complete the Facility Rental Request Form if you are interested in booking a facility. For further information, please contact Recreation and Facilities or email bookings@loyalist.ca.

  • The deadline for Fall/Winter ice requests is March 1.

Ice is available to rent from September to March. Fees are outlined below and in the updated Miscellaneous Fees and Charges By-law.

  • Step 1: View ice availability. Please note the ice availability widget is currently down. Contact the Recreation Clerk using the email below to inquire about availability. 

  • Step 2: To book the ice, please contact bookings@loyalist.ca 

Prime time for the arena:

  • Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • Saturday/Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Non-prime time for the arena

  • Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
