Outdoor Rink Program
This community program is designed to bring neighbors together, fostering a sense of connection and promoting healthy outdoor activity through recreational skating.
With support from dedicated community volunteers who help maintain the rinks, the program operates at three carefully chosen locations approved by the township. Each site is equipped with an existing water source, features level ground that drains efficiently, and is situated at a safe distance from residential homes, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable experience for all participants.
It provides an excellent opportunity for residents to stay active, socialize, and make the most of the winter season.
Current Outdoor Rink Status
What an amazing 2025/2026 Outdoor Rink season! With warmer weather arriving, the rinks are now closed and will reopen during the winter months (November–December 2026).
A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who helped build and maintain the ice throughout the season. We’d also like to thank our wonderful community for getting out, respecting the ice rules, and making the most of these outdoor community spaces. It was great to see so many people enjoying the rinks—we loved seeing all the fun that was had!

Be part of preserving the ice! To ensure the ice freezes as quickly as possible and stays in the best condition, it is crucial to follow the posted signage at each rink.
Did you know that temperatures need to dip to -7 °C for a week to create the perfect skating rink? Let’s keep our fingers crossed for chilly winter weather in 2025/2026 so we can enjoy these incredible FREE community spaces
