Wibit FAQ
How old do I need to be to participate?
Yes! We swim test all children and youth looking to participate with the Wibits. Folks who do not pass the swim test can still participate but they must wear a lifejacket.
Can I participate in a lifejacket?
Yes! We typically do not allow folks to wear lifejackets in the deep end of the pool during our drop-in swims but Wibit Public Swims are the exception to this rule. If you are in a lifejacket, you are able to use the Wibits.
What pools are open and where can I swim if I'm not running the course?
Currently only the Latham Lap Pool is available during Wibit Public Swims. We use a lane rope to divide the pool and provide an open area for swimmers to swim who don't want to use the Wibits.
We are hopeful to include the Savage Family Leisure Swim in these swims in the future.
Yes! The diving board will be open during these swims in the open area. Please follow the posted rules for the diving board and obey any direction from our lifeguards while using the diving board.
