To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Leisure and Activity Centre and also the end of summer, we are hosting a fun, free BBQ for the community!
Join our staff and try out some fun activities along with Loyalist Recreation, Amherstview Lions Club volunteers and Kingston Ultimate Frisbee!
Event activities
- BBQ sponsored by Barr Homes
- Not so Amateur Amateurs inflatable slide and climbing wall
- Large yard games with our Come Out and Play Trailer
- Art station with tattoos
- Kids obstacle course (meeting room)
- Zumba class with Dave from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Kingston Ultimate Frisbee - demo, game and throwing clinic
- Mobile Ice cream Bar ($)

Here's what happened in 2023!
Thank you to everyone that came to the 2023 Community BBQ - we had over 200 guests! A special thank you to Limestone City Disc Golf Club for their demonstration and teaching us all about this up and coming sport (also known as frisbee golf) that is fun for all ages and encourages healthy outdoor activity.
Thank you also to our Council Members who joined in the activities and the cooking. A good time was had by all.
We look forward to seeing all of you at the next BBQ in September of 2024!
