The theme of 2025
Parks and Recreation Ontario have set the theme for JRPM 2025.
Energize: Energizing appetites for movement and community involvement, promoting active living at every stage of life.
Game changers: Emphasizing importance of strong leadership in the sector, sharing inspiring stories of those who are paving the way.
Legacy: Creating awareness of parks, conservation and the environmental legacy we leave for the future.
Unity: Parks and recreation unite us, foster belonging, and are deeply connected to Canadian identity.
Did you know...that's recreation too!
- Chasing your dog down the street in your pajamas after she ripped the leash from your hand!
- Watching birds argue in trees over the ninja squirrels moving into their park.
- Hiding in your backyard under a tree to read a book.
- Taking a cold plunge while whale watching at Finkle Shores park... PS Let us know if you see any - they are shy!
- Getting caught in the rain and slipping in mud while looking for Parrots in the Bay… PS They will come to you if you squawk loud enough - guard your crackers!
